Why I Started Ministry of Mothering: Encouragement for Mommas in the Trenches

Mothering is one of the most beautiful callings, but if we’re being honest, it’s also one of the hardest. It’s a daily mix of joy and exhaustion, of life-giving moments and moments that leave you feeling drained. I started Ministry of Mothering—my blog, Facebook page, and Etsy shop—because I know what it’s like to be in the trenches of motherhood.

For years, I felt like I was drowning under the weight of expectations, both my own and others'. Social media only made it worse, showing picture-perfect homes, elaborate crafts, and moms who seemed to have it all together. But my reality? It was loud, messy, and far from Instagram-worthy.

And yet, amidst the chaos, God reminded me of this truth: Children are a blessing from the Lord. He didn’t call us to be perfect moms; He called us to be faithful. He called us to love, to nurture, and to point our little ones to Him, even when the floors are sticky and the laundry is piled high.

That’s why I created Ministry of Mothering. I want to encourage you, dear momma, to embrace the beauty in the imperfection. I want to share what I’m learning, from practical hacks to deeper spiritual truths, because we’re all in this together. Life isn’t perfect, but it is breathtakingly beautiful when we see it through God’s lens.

On my blog, you’ll find reflections on faith and motherhood, easy recipes, homeschooling tips, and reminders that you are not alone. My Facebook page is a space for connection and encouragement. And my Etsy shop? It’s a little creative outlet where I design faith-inspired products to remind you of your worth and calling as a mom.

Mothering can feel like it’s sucking the very life out of you some days, but I promise you, it’s also giving you the opportunity to pour life into your children. And what a privilege that is.

So, to every momma reading this: You are seen. You are loved. You are doing holy work. And when you feel like you’re not enough, remember that His grace is sufficient for you.

Connect with me on Instagram at @ministry.of.mothering for daily encouragement, easy recipes, and support. We’re all in this together!
